For complying with the law or the request of law enforcement agencies or regulations;
For emergency situations in which an individual’s life, health or security is threatened;
For notifying you or allowing our affiliated companies to notify you of certain preferred services offered.

Consent

We rely on any of the following actions by you as the indication of your consent to use your Personal information for the identified purposes list above:

Your voluntary provision of Personal Information given directly to Builders Insurance Group Inc. or through a representative of Builders Insurance Group Inc.;

Customer information is only available to those employees and agents who have a need to know in order to serve you. We have implemented all reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, destruction, or disclosure of your personal information on and off our premises as well as our web site. We retain your information only for as long as necessary for the purpose identified and to meet obligations we have under the law.

Your personal information will remain protected in accordance with our privacy practices and procedures even after you are no longer associated with Builders Insurance Group Inc.

Accuracy

Builders Insurance Group Inc. will, as reasonably as possible, maintain your Personal information as accurate, complete and up to date as necessary for the Identified Purposes.

Accountability, Openness & Customer Access

For Personal Information under the control of Builders Insurance Inc. upon written request, individuals can:

Be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of their Personal Information;
Be given access to their Personal Information;
Challenge the accuracy and completeness of their Personal Information.

There is a Request/Complaint form that will need to be filled out. Individuals will be required to provide sufficient information permitting Builders Insurance Group inc. to provide an account of the existence, use and disclosure of Personal Information. There is an administrative fee for providing this information. Builders Insurance Group inc. will respond to this written request within a reasonable time.
